These Costa Rica Villas are located in Uvita, in the middle of the Costa Ballena, Costa Rica’s South Pacific hotspot and are inspired by traditional Indonesian architecture. The task for our designers and in-house architect was to translate Balinese architecture into modern terms. The result is the best of two worlds: Balinese style and beauty meets modern comfort and quality.
The traditional Balinese roof angles at 40° and it is over 5 meters high and open, giving way for light. Side extensions of the roof give the house the typical butterfly look and the low roof line offers ample protection against the sun heat. A long roof extension covers the generous open living area against rain and sunlight.
The generous variety of the finest building materials used in the villas in Costa Rica provides inspiration for anyone who appreciates their unique aesthetic qualities, and celebrates a natural and elegant way of life. The tempered glass walls reflect a simple, open and uncluttered lifestyle which demands minimal but stylish furniture and accessories. The walls (frosted and non-translucent in the bathroom) combine beautifully with the Balinese roof. It gives the villas the rich and luxurious yet strong and natural looks.
- The estate is located on a stunning mountainside, well below the cloud levels and just high enough to catch the ocean breeze where you will enjoy amazing ocean views (Whale’s Tail, Isla Ballena, Caño Island and the Osa Peninsula) and the sounds of abundant wildlife and cascading water from our estate’s nearby jungle river.
On premises Restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes including fusion food, salads and freshly grilled fish. Simple, elegant and light dishes, for both lunch and dinner. We use organic produce whenever possible and we only serve the freshest produce at all times.
Breakfast can be taken in the restaurant, at the poolside, or on your own private terrace.
During daytime, lunch and light snacks are served in the restaurant or while relaxing on your sun bed by the pool. Dinner is also served in the restaurant, overlooking the infinity pool, the Pacific Ocean and the sparkling lights of Uvita village. Naturally, you may also choose to enjoy your dinner in the privacy of your own villa.

Uvita is a charming village named after its adjacent river, enclosed by the Pacific Ocean and mountainous rainforest surroundings, buzzing with tropical wildlife. This is where jungle meets ocean.
Described by many as one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world, south-western Costa Rica has plenty of beautiful beaches and fantastic vistas. Of the many spectacular beaches found here, Playa Uvita is among the top six most stunning beaches in Costa Rica (Frommers). Located in the southern Puntarenas province between surfing hotspot Dominical (with plenty of laidback nightlife) and the relaxed village Ojochal (with great restaurants), Uvita is the perfect base for an unforgettable holiday.
How To Get There
Getting to Costa Rica is getting easier every year. The Juan Santamaria International Airport is a modern airport near the capital of Costa Rica, San José. It’s the country’s largest airport offering many non-stop flights to and from popular American and European cities. North American travellers to Costa Rica appreciate accessibility with no jetlag. Situated in the Central Standard time zone, the time in Costa Rica varies by no more than two hours from any U.S. location.
Getting to your Oxygen Jungle Villa in Uvita is effortless. You can catch a local forty-minute flight from San José to Palmar Sur via either SANSA (from San José International Airport) or via Nature Air (from San José Municipal Airport). These flights arrive at Palmar Sur in the morning and at the Palmar Sur Airport you can have a rental car (always rent a 4x4 in Costa Rica) arranged for your arrival. A thirty minute scenic ride along the paved coastal road will take you to Uvita. From there it is a bumpy (4x4 only) but short and beautiful drive up to our mountain estate. Please note that (for privacy reasons) we are not signposted; make sure to bring the directions you receive after making your reservation.
