Villa Vinci is an architectural complex with a Renaissance structure dating back to the XVI century. Running alongside is the ancient Leonardian walk which takes visitors from the town of Vinci to the house where Leonardo was born. It is set deep in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, on the hills of Anchiano, in a position affording a unique view: the mountains of Pistoia, the Apuan Alps to Val di Nievole, the hills of Montecatini and Monsummano Terme, Pescia and Collodi, the valleys of Lucca, the mountains of Pisa, all the places dear to Leonardo da Vinci, who took inspiration from them for his paintings.
In front of the villa there is a wide garden with a nice and comfortable gazebo furnished with table and chairs, to enjoy the long summer evening eating or having a glass of wine while the children can play and spend funny times in the dedicated area. From the garden, getting downstairs, the large swimming pool offers an astonishing view on the fields and on the village of Vinci.
On one side of the pool, there is an other wide space which is suitable for dinners and also for nice receptions. Climbing up the path it is easy to arrive in front of the villa where a large patio is the ideal setting for relaxing breakfasts.
The first floor of the villa is entirely dedicated to the pleasure of being together. A bright dining-room with a big table is the place where all guests in the house can stay together and have fun, it is located next to the furnished big kitchen that is also near the second entrance of the house leading to the garden and the gazebo.
On the other side of the passage which leads from the front to the back door, you find a beautiful hall with a large window overlooking the valley situated just in front of a comfortable white sofa and a stone fireplace giving the chance to enjoy the warmth and the intimate atmosphere of the house and to feel the elegant touch of all details.
Climbing up the stone stairs with prestigious wood decorated lacunars ceiling, you come to the second floor where all the rooms are situated. Each of the room is named after the family members and offer a breathtaking view on the surrounding hills. All marble bathrooms are elegant and comfortable, and furnished with shower. The larger one, in the room Anna, has a big round bathtub. Two of the rooms, are double rooms with king size bed, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom.
Further two rooms are double and share the same bathroom. At the end of a wide passage, an other large living room gives the possibility to relax reading a book, listening to the music or watching TV (satellite) under the beautiful XXVII century ceramic ceiling. At this floor there is also a laundry with wash machine, iron and iron board.
For larger groups it is possible to rent also the wide dependence situated in the park just above the swimming pool. A small fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bed and a nice sofa are all part of a simple wooden furnishings of this bright apartment, whose large windows overlooks the swimming pool and the breathtaking view of the castle of Vinci. The bathroom is hidden behind a panel and air conditioning is included.
