Villa Serena, an 18th Century farmhouse, is lucky enough to be situated within this estate and within walking distance of the village. It has recently been restored in traditional Tuscan style whilst incorporating many modern features. It has a wealth of exposed beams, immaculate stonework, pristine hand cut terracotta floors and is furnished with some extremely beautiful highly polished period antique furniture. It is undeniably comfortable and autumn evenings spent in front of the fireplace can be extremely hard to forget.
Due to its elevated position it commands the most magnificent vistas. The sitting room opens out on to a large terrace with vine covered pergola ideal for 'al fresco' dining with its softly cushioned wooden furniture ; a garden of holm oak hedges and lavender is at your disposal.
We recommend day trips to the many hilltop towns of the Garfagnana as each has its own unique identity and story just waiting to be discovered. The beaches of the Versilian coast in August are extremely busy, but at any other time of year can be almost deserted.
