The property. The house, built in the 1960s, is located at less than one kilometer from Porto Ercole and sits on 5.000 square meters of ground, overlooking the beach “Le Viste”. It is built on 2 levels, each one with an independent entrance.
The access drive, flanked with cypresses, takes to the parking area, from where the terraces can be accessed through staircases. These two large terraces, equipped in summer with chairs and tables for eating, offer a magnificent panoramic view on the sea, from La Rocca fortress, the Feniglia beach, the Ansedonia peninsula, the small island (l’Isolotto) to the Avoltore point.
The house is surrounded by a large garden on different levels, covered with typical Mediterranean flora with oleanders, geraniums, pines, oaks and agaves. Stone steps at both sides of the garden allow an easy access to the beach below.
Like the garden, the house is also built on different levels. From the living/dining room area, surrounded by the terraces, a few steps take down to the three double bedrooms on the upper floor. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom (one with a bathtub, the other two with a shower), built-in closets and ceiling fans.
The living room, furnished with many comfortable sofas and decorated with ancient and ethnic objects, has a fireplace and a small patio full with green plants, which is the highlight of this space. The dining area, equipped with a large dining table, can accommodate up to 12 people. The terrace facing the dining area is equipped too with two long tables for the same number of people, sheltered under a marquee. From the dining area one can access to the kitchen, the service bathroom and a storage room.
On the other side of the kitchen, a spiral staircase takes to the lower level of the house. This floor includes 1 double bedroom with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom, 2 single bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom, and 2 more bathrooms, as well as a storeroom equipped with washing machine and refrigerator.
Location. Porto Ercole is located on the East coast of the Monte Argentario, in Southern Tuscany. This small fishing harbor is now one of the most exclusive vacationing places in Italy, next to the modern marina of Cala Galera, which makes it an ideal area for boating. Two 16th-century Spanish fortresses and the old village overlook the harbor.
