The historical property Villa Il Filare has now been restored and transformed into a Residence with large apartments offering the best services and comfort. The narrow hilly roads separating The Villa from the city center offer a cozy shelter from the noisy traffic, evidently benefiting the quality of the air and the quietness of the area. Villa "Il Filare", until the 15th century the historical estate of the Acciaioli family, was built around an even older medieval tower. It is located on top of the Arcetri hill, at the intersection of two hilly roads quoted in the classical Florentine hill tour.
Despite being very close to the town, as the aerial pictures show, Villa Il Filare offers great quiet and peace thanks to the hills around it and the narrow motorless roads taking to the Villa. In our customers' words, this is a quiet, green oasis, "a different world", compared to Florence, and despite its closeness. You will likely come across hares and pheasants during your walks in the olive groves and the vineyards.
Villa Il Filare features a heated swimming pool from April to October, surrounded by a large garden with an ancient canopy. Our customers can use the self service laundry, and have breakfast upon request. Each apartment has its kitchenette with microwave oven, electric kettle, kitchenware, direct phone, Satellite TV, air conditioning, and safe. Villa Il Filare is also the ideal place for those looking for a villa for weddings, ceremonies and celebrations in and around Florence. For its wide open spaces, the taste and simplicity of the furnishings, the outdoor and the enchanting view of the hills the villa can guest any event.
