This spacious stone built villa is hidden away in a fruit orchard in the tiny hamlet of Ataköy. With splendid open views over the neighbouring fields this is a very private and peaceful location, off the beaten track yet within a short drive (6kms) of the beach and restaurants in nearby Akyaka.
We have worked together with Coskun the villa’s owner for many years, and our guests who have enjoyed trips on his gulet will remember his high standards and attention to detail. This brand new single storey villa provides simple and comfortable accommodation for couples or a small family. The thick stone walls ensure that the house is constantly cool, local pine wood has been used throughout and beautiful pink toned travertine frames the doors and windows.
Outside the stone arched terraces run the full length of the house, the exquisite carved wood ceilings resemble those in the Ottoman style houses in Akyaka. Comfortable seating on the shady terrace looks onto the pool (6.5m x 3.5m, constant depth of 1.60m) and sunbathing terraces, and then onto the surrounding gardens which are filled with every possible fruit tree – banana, apricot, peach, fig and even kiwi vines and then across the rich green fields to the sea in the distance.
