Overview
Villa del Castello is set in a prestigious and central location. This lovely and unique property is located only a 3 minute walk from the Piazzetta (main square) and the centre of Capri. Fantastic panoramic views over the entire town, the Gulf of Naples and the a part of the Bay of Marina Piccola, (with the top of the typical Faraglione) can be enjoyed from its gardens. The property boasts flowering gardens, 4 widest terraces and some relaxing spots with a fountain and a sofas.
The villa has 2 access: directly from the road, it is really useful if you would reach the villa by taxi, 20 steps lead up to the main entrance gate and an alleyway leads through a luxurious garden among tall pine trees, lemon trees, cypress trees and bouganvilleas. Or you can access by the pedestrian shortcut that allows to reach the Piazzetta in 3min.
From the main garden, 10 steps take you up to the main terrace where is located the wonderful pool (14mtx5mt). Right in front of one of the 3 houses. From there you can see all the compund and all the layout of the property, the Italian style garden with flowers, the jasmines growing up on the columns and the walls, white roses and oleander trees. On another terrace a large barbecue and pizza oven take place close to a sitting area for al fresco dinner. The villa came into its current owner’s family in the early 20th century and its elegance and exclusivity makes it one of the most desirable properties on the island of Capri. Cool marble and hand-made tiles on the floors, vaulted ceilings, antique furniture, white draperies and hand made stucco give the interiors of the villa a timeless feel and an incomparable charm. The white dominating and its position make him a really cool place! Villa del Castello is a typical Capri Style property with the white rooms, vaulted ceilings into the house, pergolas with white columns and plant climbers to spend a relaxing afternoon or to have al fresco dinners, cotto tiles, bronzes.
The villa is made of 2 houses and 1 annex.
Pool House:
from the ground access by 10 steps you'll reach the pool terrace, there is equipped a dining area with a round table suitable for 8 people. the pool area is equpped with stylish sunbeds. The main entrance door leads into a well lit living area with a double white sofà bed and tv sat. 2 French doors lead out onto the pool terrace. On a side, a large and elegant double bedroom with en suite bathroom with marble, large mirrors and jacuzzi bath tub. On the opposite a study with a double sofa bed could be arranged a double bedroom (in the winter season this area can be arranged also as dining room). Both rooms and living are furnished with minimal wooden furniture. Both enjoy white textiles, hand made stucco and soft lights. From the bathroom you have access to a laundry room, where a washing machine, sink, ironing facilities and a small kitchen abound. Next door there is the main kitchen in rustic style. The well equipped kitchen built with white tiles boasts professional tools and facilities: refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, 6 range stovetop, oven, 2 sinks. The kitchen has a window and a door leading out on the path goes around the house. Next to the kitchen there is also an annex with a single bed and en suite bathroom with a shower. Descending a short steps you can find a staff bedroom (available on request), so you'll came back to the main terrace where is the second house (the Garden House), based on a ground level.
Garden House:
the Garden house is an independent apartment, for this the Villa del Castello could be rented for smaller groups in medium and ow season. Entering in the garden house you'll have access onto a dining room with a table and chairs for 6 people and a workinfg fireplace. On the left you have access to a double bedroom with 2 baths with hand made tiles (one with shower and one with a jacuzzi bath tub). The bedroom has a large wardrobe at guest disposal and a window with a nice view on the garden and Capri. One step lead to the panoramic living room with 2 sofas (one is a double bed), surrounded on two sides by french window and white curtains. Worth of note in this rooms: the stucco, the windows and the light. From the living room on the right side you'll have access to a small corridor with a well equipped kitchenette on the right, a bathroom with a shower on the left, at the end a welcoming double bedroom with a double bed and a window looking out onto the garden.

the villa is reachable by car or a 3-minute walk from the main square of Capri.
STAFF DETAILS.
The caretaker and the gardener live close to the house. Cook is available on request. Final cleaning is included in the rental rate. 3 hours of daily housekeeping service included in the rental rate.
