Château des Grand Vins is one of the largest estates in the region, renowned since the XVIIth century. It boasts 90 hectares of vineyards, 75 of which are in production- 70 dedicated to the AOC Bordeaux Supérieur rouge and the remaining 5 the AOC Bordeaux Blanc Sec. Traditional methods combine with the latest techniques in both the vineyard and cellars in order to make the very most of the region´s offerings. Guests will have the entire 450sqm chateau to themselves, which can accommodate up to 12 guests. The chateau is elegant in style, immaculately maintained and was redecorated in 2004 to a very high standard, enhancing the original features with complementary antique furnishings whilst skillfully introducing modern amenities.
The ground floor consists of grand but not imposing reception rooms. Firstly there is the delightful sitting room with sofas and armchairs, a music centre and 3 large French windowsallowing natural light to flood in and affording views over the parkland. This room leads onto an elegant dining room which includes a decorative fireplace and a smart American pool table. There is another lounge, more informal with TV and DVD player, games and sofas.
This grand chateau would make a lovely holiday property for a large group of family or friends looking to explore the region of Bordeaux, relax in warm weather, and enjoy the delicious wines on offer! There´s something for everyone.
The property itself has a lovely private pool surrounded by sun loungers, lawns and furnished terraces, ideal for moments of relaxation, reading a good book or soaking up the sunshine whilst admiring your idyllic surroundings.
A large kitchen is fully fitted with all you could need for self-catering including fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
