Our stay at Ol Lentille was probably one of the best and most authentic vacation weeks ever. We had a number of memorable moments in just one week – the sight of our 6 year old daughter on the shoulders of a Masai guide on a walking safari among elephants or jogging (with a Masai) over the savannah at 8 in the morning passing giraffes, zebras and the rest of the wildlife or the extraordinary high cosine three course dinners every day under the stars of the African sky was just some of the truly authentic and memorable moments – and then we haven’t even mentioned the top-notch accommodation – my memorable moment was the set of all these memorable moments together…

As well as being a luxury holiday destination in Kenya, this is also one of the foremost community-based conservation tourism properties on the continent, so “having fun, doing good” takes on new meaning too.
Scheduled flights are available from Nairobi to Nanyuki with Air Kenya and Safarilink. Of course, a luxury safari means it should be relaxing. Wind down in the Spa with luxury treatments and organic products, take game drives or walks day or night, chill out by the pool for your whole vacation or play croquet and boules in the lodge grounds. Do you like books? Then check out the library and the viewing deck atop, which has an open fire, a bar and a GPS-controlled telescope to bring the heavens even closer.
Venture out with your guide on mountain bikes, quad bikes, camels on horseback, for as long as you like during your vacation. Horse or camel rides can be arranged for short treks, or if you want to bring some variety to your luxury holiday in Kenya, longer treks can be sorted out with overnight fly camping. For those who enjoy an even more active vacation, try the parcours jogging trail or rock climbing.
Close community participation is the cornerstone of the Lentille project. If you want you can put yourself to good work on your vacation, helping on conservation or in our community projects. You will be able to learn about the traditional and contemporary Maasai way of life and the challenges faced by groups in such a remote area.
Perched on the flanks of a wooded rock kopje, in the heart of our private conservation area, is The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille – a collection of four private, full-service, fully staffed Kenya holiday houses for the discerning few.
