The Villa Lindos has a unique history. This traditional Lindian house was built in 1920 and has been passed down for generations from mother to daughter according to Lindian tradition. The house has been home to many famous people and in the 1950s and 1960s, it housed the first American tourist in Lindos, the great painter Conrand Person. Person loved the village of Lindos and he was loved by the villagers who nicknamed him Grandpa because of his age.
Thanks to Person, the house has accommodated many other famous people such as Anthony Quinn, David Niven, Gregory Peck, Irini Pappas, Telly Savalas and many others during the filming of the Guns of Navarone on the island of Rhodes. Bedrooms and study Room
The Villa Lindos contains three spacious double bedrooms that can sleep up to six guests.
The living room and the study also contain sofas that can be converted into beds in order to host an additional one to four guests. Each bedroom contains an air-conditioning/heating system and contains all the bedding required for a comfortable night’s sleep during any season of the year. The ground floor has a spacious bedroom with a double bed and the upper floor has an additional two double bedrooms. Each room is decorated with the perfect blend of modern and traditional décor.
The bedrooms contain wardrobes and a chest of drawers so guests can unpack and make themselves at home. They also have a vanity table with mirror and bedside tables with reading lights. Large shuttered windows allow guests to let in the bright Mediterranean sun and cool night breezes. The study opens up onto the courtyard and is found on the ground floor of the villa. The bathrooms at the Villa Lindos are anything but traditional. The villa has two large bathrooms with contemporary modern fixtures and sleek marble tiling. One bathroom is on the ground floor and the other is in the courtyard. The bathrooms contain white porcelain fixtures, a large mirror and a shower with a glass door. All of the bath towels, face towels and bathmats required for your stay are provided. Each bathroom is styled in modern Mediterranean colours and offers you maximum comfort throughout your stay.
Courtyard and rooftop patio

The whitewashed walls of the courtyard complement the lush Mediterranean plants and flowers that have been planted with care in surrounding pots.
The courtyard contains a large dining table where many meals will certainly be enjoyed. There are also wicker sun loungers for those wishing to sit back and soak in some Mediterranean sun or relax and read a book in the afternoon shade. Another feature of the Villa Lindos is the rooftop patio accessible from the second storey of the house. A small table and chairs have been provided on the rooftop patio so guests can enjoy the panoramic views of the village during a magical sunset. The imposing Acropolis of Lindos is directly to the left of the villa and offers an amazing vision when lit up at night.
