Activities / What to do there?
- Many clients ask us for villas within walking distance of a village, and this is one of Les Peniches' major attractions. Only five minutes walk from the villa is the delightful and thriving village of Argeliers, which has three restaurants, a cafe-bar, two boulangeries, a charcuterie, a tabac-presse and a local Saturday market.
- Surrounded by vineyards with the Montagnes Noirs (Black Mountains) as a backdrop, Argeliers is also right on the stunning Canal du Midi, a UNESCO world heritage site. This villa is just two minutes' walk from the canal towpath, so if you fancy a relaxing stroll, a bike ride or a boat trip, it couldn't be more convenient!
- The beaches of the Mediterranean are within easy reach, the lovely town of Beziers is close at hand; dramatic Carcassonne and the lively city of Montpellier would both make ideal day trips.
