5 Suites – Pool The Charming residence, La Vigna di Orvieto is situated on a promontory, 380 meters above sea level within the magnificent estate of “ Decugnano dei Barbi “, well known for its superb wine. The property is built in a unique style using only elegant and refined materials and furnishings, all of which can be enjoyed by our guest. Very quiet and private the house has a spectacular panoramic view of rolling hills, it will offer you holidays in complete harmony with nature. We proudly offer five star service and professionalism from internationally experienced crew. The Residence occupies 560 square metres on 2 levels. On the ground floor, there is a large sitting-room, equipped with an antique fireplace from the 1600s, a great oval table for meals, a guest bathroom and a full service professional kitchen. The oval dinning room table is set with elegant table clothes, Silver cutlery and crystal glasses. Every day the crew will prepare and served a breakfast, a dinner and a lunch that may be taken in the dining room, in the portico , or in the privacy of your suites. The menu will be prepared according to what is in season. Also on the first floor is a double bedroom with a bathroom designed for the disabled. Outside, there is a magnificent portico overlooking a beautiful view of the countryside. Breakfast and/or dinners may be enjoyed under the portico. The top level has two large Suites, each having king-size beds and two Junior-Suites with two double-beds in each. All Suites have large private bathrooms with bathtubs and separate shower stalls. The Residence is surrounded by beautiful gardens with views from all sides. A large swimming pool 14mt x 7mt (45’ x 22,5’) is situated on the north side of the gardens. Alongside the pool is a Jacuzzi 4mt x 2mt ( 12,8’ x 6,4’) the ultimate experience for relaxing times. Each day of the week of your choice in the morning or in the afternoon La Vigna di Orvieto is delighted to offer its guests a master class in wine in the unique setting of Decugnano dei Barbi Estate, a land of over eight centuries of history. After a visit to the modern part of the winery and a pleasant walk through the vineyards, you will have the delight to visit our Etruscan grottos where the “spumante” wine is made through the Methode Champenoise and the red wine is kept in French oak barrels. Within the Medieval Chapel of Saint Mary of Decugnano, overlooking the valley with Orvieto in the distance, guests will experience the best three wines produced: the sparkling wine “Spumante”, “ Il” Decugnano white (reserve) and “Il “ Decugnano red (reserve) paired with local delicacies. A general understanding of how wine should be assessed will be given through the visual, the olfactory and taste analysis.
