Chianciano Terme Hillside Farmhouse with Pool - La Vallata

La Vallata lies on a sunny hillside just below the Villa I giardini di Val D'Orcia, and facing the much-photographed road flanked by cypresses that winds up the far hill. The farm itself was built on a model designed by Cecil Pinsent, the architect that created the garden at I giardini di Val D'Orcia, in the ‘twenties. It is now completely restored and converted. On the north side, the house is sheltered by a row of cypresses ending in a semi-circle, where a stone table and benches have been put for al fresco meals. The garden, complete with its own pool, was designed by the English architect Peter Curzon.
Pergolas line one side of the house just beside the kitchen, and there is another pergola on the terrace in front of the smaller house, next to the pool. There are many cool corners at La Vallata for dining, reading or just enjoying the view.
