La Torretta dating back to the 1200 was originally the lookout tower for the nearby castle of Pornello (500mt), one of a series that in the Middle Ages protected the southern border of Tuscany. In the last centuries la Torretta and the annex have been rennovated acquiring the comforts of a modern house and keeping the charm of the past. From any spots in the property you’ll have incredible views on an enchanting landscape. Location: La Torretta is located to the north of Orvieto, surrounded by a landscape of steep, wooded hills and farmed valleys. Around you’ll find villages of medieval origin, many of them fortified and nicest small hamlets. The closest town is the little village of Pornello, 500m from the property. Also it layes near the top of a hill between Montegiove and its fortress (8km) and San Venanzo (11km), and its castle. Orvieto and Todi, the two largest hill towns of the area, are 45-minute drive away. A lovely road leads from San Venanzo to Perugia, 50km and Assisi 63km.
