Villa La Pomice (‘Pomice’ in Italian is pumice, the stone widely found on the Island of Lipari) is located in an upland area of Pianogreca, about 2km from the centre of Lipari.
Its position means that is has a splendid view and is pleasantly cool, while the atmospheric infinity pool overlooking this setting and the luxuriant Mediterranean garden surrounding it (tended by a renowned Sicilian landscape gardener) make it a little corner of paradise.
Villa la Pomice has two separate buildings, both of which have two floors.
On the entrance floor of the main villa is a comfortable, cosy lounge with a fireplace, a lovely kitchen, a dining room with large windows that look out onto the splendid landscape and a guest bathroom. A large patio surrounds all the rooms. There is also an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and wood-burning stove and an atmospheric open-air dining area for Summer evenings.
A staircase descends to the 2 bedrooms, one of which is a double bedroom with a large bathroom and shower and the other a convertible twin room with a private bathroom. Both rooms have direct access to the garden, where the swimming pool and shower are located in a slightly more private area.
