The history of La Dimora was already being documented in 1037. This admirable structure holds a dominating position in the very heart of the Chianti Classico, a zone steeped in Etruscan and Roman history, where deadly duels have been fought. Today the Castle dominates tranquil woods, olive groves and vineyards – peace prevails. It has been transformed into two beautiful, self-contained houses, completely independent of each other. Original features such as arches and vaulted ceilings have been retained, and new murals adorn some walls. The main villa's spacious interior of about 300 sq. meters features large rooms and high ceilings; its furnishings and fittings are tasteful and color coordinated.
Electrically operated gates give access into the garden to a parking area.Entrance to the house is into a very large sitting room with several seating areas, an open fireplace and huge windows giving good light. A small sitting room has satellite television.
This apartment, within the walls of La Dimora, has an independent entrance as well.
There is a lovely, large, private, formal Italian garden and a 16 mt swimming pool.
Those with culinary skills will delight in the impressive and well equipped kitchen. The roomy and comfortable kitchen/breakfast room is equipped with a large cooking hob, large oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, wood burning stove and a waist-high barbecue. A beautiful dining room has a vaulted ceiling and an open fireplace.
A private gate allows entry to the garden directly off the splendid kitchen – cum - dining room/sitting room which is dominated by a big fireplace with the coat-of-arms of the family.
