The architecture which frames this experience strives to be contemporary but homely, elegant but not showy. The essence of the design is in its verandas. The villa is wrapped by a 30M veranda on the sea side and a Verandah-court on its land side. Each room opens out fully to the main veranda, promoting the ideal of Outdoor living.
Materials are rustic but contemporary – polished concrete floors, wooden shutters, and timber pergolas. The villa is cosseted by lush gardens on all sides. The fore-court is thickly and luxuriously vegetated – an immediate oasis-like experience for the guest.
The chef, makes the most wonderful home cooked Sri Lankan cuisine so that by the end of your stay you really will have experienced a great variety of delicious local dishes and probably put on a few pounds! He can also create a number of western meals if desired including stews, grills and delicious Italian cuisine plus special menus for the kids.
The villa doesn’t sell alcohol so it’s best if you bring a few bottles with you from the airport duty free, or in Colombo as you pass through. The staff can also go on your behalf to the local wine stores to buy liquor at cost price, or accompany you on a visit so that you can select your own.
