Dolce Vita is a famous property in Anacapri on the isle of Capri. This beautiful villa, constructed in the early 1900s, is built on four levels within a mature forest of olive trees. With gardens, terraces, and a beautiful pool, it has a wonderful view over Capri island. The swimming pool is in the main garden on the third level; a barbecue is also at the guests' disposal.
The princess Branciforte bought the villa in the mid 1960s, and there she lived a great love story with a famous entrepreneur from Rome. For many years the villa was the scene of their splendid parties, and in the period of "La Dolce Vita" a famous Italian movie star lived there. When the love affair ended the villa was put up for sale. In the mid 1970s a brilliant and well-known professor bought the property, and thanks to the care and artistic talent of his wife the villa is now enriched with fine decorations and furnishings.
The main entrance is from the upper part of the property, passing close to the wonderful, white blinding roof in a typical Capri style with vaults and skylights. The Villa is staffed with two people: the house keeper and the gardener. Breakfast in the morning is included in the price and so the daily cleaning 6 days a week from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00p.m.
From the top of the house you pass in a huge kitchen covered with traditional Vietri style tails face a very comfortable terrace.
