Welcome to a luxury accommodation featuring lavish suites in a historic castle in Maslinica on the island of Solta's west coast. It is a place which vividly evokes visions of sparkling teal waters and a landscape dotted with olive trees.
In 1703, the three Marchi brothers got permission from the Venetian authorities to build a tower, a village and a church above the bay of Maslinica. At the time, pirate attacks were becoming frequent and, with considerable efforts of the colonists, two years later a castle was erected together with defence walls and a prominent tower as the last point of defence...
Today, after three centuries of tumultuous history, the Martinis Marchi castle welcomes you into its chambers that echo with the soft whisper of times gone by.
The staff of the castle wishes you a pleasant stay.
At the castle the comfort of the guests is our priority. Why else would we offer only six suites in a castle covering an area of 1500 square metres?
Here every room has its story and its history, as well as a breathtaking view. Every piece of furniture has been carefully chosen. Beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs have been looked after for years in European metropolises like London, Vienna, Venice, Paris, Zagreb and then carefully restored, just like the castle itself.
All the rooms have been named after famous people of that time who were somehow connected to the castle or to its builder Ivan Petar Marchi.
You can enjoy the advantages of a heated pool, terrace, sauna and steam bath, a sun terrace and a garden… All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with an LCD television and a satellite receiver, minibars, safes and telephones.
The stone façades conceal two saunas, a conference and presentation hall, an extensive lounge with a dining room and a kitchen, a wine cellar, a restaurant, a room for relaxation with a piano, a spacious terrace by the pool and more... anything you wish for your complete pleasure. The complex even has a private heliport for those guests who may need it.
We offer taxi and boat transfers to the airport and nearby islands.

Since Maslinica has been known for centuries as a fishing village, we recommend you to start your meal with octopus salad and then hot asparagus soup with scampi. For your main course, savor the typical Dalmatian lavish fish menu and wash it down with a fine red wine.
For your side dish, don't forget to try Dalmatian style chard and potatoes cooked with a few drops of quality local olive oil. For dessert, don't miss the “rožada” from Dubrovnik. True wine lovers would also be glad to visit our wine cellar, to make their experience complete.
The refined ambience of the restaurant is extremely suitable for private and business celebrations. Restaurant can seat 120 people on the terrace and 80 indoors. Contact Adriatic Traveller for more info regarding special events organizations.
