This renovated 1960’s mansion was the former residence of the governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Its historic background shows in the impressive architecture and size of the property: villa Casa Beleza features a large swimming pool and a huge 1700 sqm garden where you can spot small monkeys, butterflies, fruit trees and many rare Brazilian flowers and plants. You might even meet the huge turtle that slowly moves through the garden.
Don’t worry about a thing during your stay here: security staff on duty day and night will guarantee your safety. The area is also very well served by local transport and the famous antique cable car of Santa Teresa, so you can easily hop from one attraction to another.
Unlike many beach areas in Rio, Santa Teresa offers you the chance to experience a real Rio neighbourhood and the opportunity to mingle with the locals. Wander the tree-lined cobblestone streets past the colourful colonial houses and you are likely to stumble upon an impromptu musical gig, a poetry performance or locals enjoying a drink in front of one of the many bars and cafes: Casa Beleza is ideal for those who want the taste of the real Rio.
