Tuscany, birthplace of the Renaissance and mercantile paradise for centuries has remained popular for villa holidays long after its influence in European politics waned and the noble families such as the Medici have faded into history. Tuscany has kept its wealth in the large villas, private estates and magnifcent gardens that stand testament to its glory. Predominently in those within a days ride (on horseback) from cities such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Lucca.
The main villa, of which this independent villa sits within the grounds, is a perfect example of this grand history as impressive cypresses lead to the 2 entrance gates. There are several gardens including an original Italian Garden with a large magnolia tree and lavender beds, a formal rose garden with classic English tea roses, an antique mascherone and a Giardino Segreto with a labyrinth, marble fountains, sculptures and a small temple.
