Chuiba Bay Lodge is located in Chuiba, just a few kilometers from the town of Pemba, Northeast Mozambique, nestled on the dunes of the pristine shores of the Indian Ocean. A seven kilometer road (of which 3 km tarred) connects Chuiba Bay Lodge to the airport and to Pemba, the capital of Cabo Delgado province.
Pemba airport welcomes direct international flights from Maputo, Johannesburg, Madagascar, Dar-Es-Salam and Nairobi, with connections to the rest of the world.
Though the area around Pemba is not a well-known destination among tourists, this area in Mozambique abounds in treasures. The rich history, tradition and vibrant culture of the people of Cabo Delgado have been marked through the centuries by African, Arab, Indian and Portuguese sailing, trading and settling, making it a fascinating and even enchanting destination for those who are interested in South-Eastern African history art and tradition. The Macua, Maconde and Kimuane people live in harmony in and around Pemba.
