The top floor of The St. Regis Bali Resort hotel is reserved for the grandest of all suites, 333 square metres of uncompromising luxury and comfort, gilded with amenities large and small. Here, guests are surrounded by stunning views of sparkling white beaches as well as the lush gardens and blue lagoons of the resort. Inside, the suite is a world unto itself. A sparkling chandelier hangs in the vestibule, which leads to the Grand Astor Presidential Suite’s Receiving Room. Its sliding wood-carved doors provide privacy for guests and a space for visitors who may be entertained with a flat-screen TV while waiting to enter the living area. With its smooth wood and Travertino marble floor, the living room’s quietly elegant design weaves in Balinese fabrics and fine art, including hand-painted murals of Balinese dancers and a traditional Indonesian wedding headdress framed in batik embroidery.

Three large sofas covered in rich cotton fabric invite guests to visit and enjoy drinks around the big French polished wood coffee table or listen to a local musician or a talented friend play the suite’s perfectly tuned grand piano. Dinner in the suite is also de rigueur, as the room includes a stylish sliver alloy topped dining table for eight, complete with fine dinnerware. A bespoke St. Regis Butler would be pleased to make arrangements and assist in any way.

The latest technologies, including a 42-inch flat-screen interactive LCD TV with DVD player, 56 local and international channels, music sound system and Bose iPod Docking Station, add to the exceptional experience.

This suite has two bedrooms, one with a king and one with a queen-size bed, each with pampering 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton Ploh linens. Cooling fan controls and Avant Garde personalised spotlight reading lamps add to the ultimate comfort. A Balinese-inspired carved wood art piece graces the wall above the ukir carved headboard, completing the soothing look and feel of each bedroom.

The generously proportioned Italian Travertino marble bathroom includes an oversized stand-alone bathtub and a separate standing shower stall with a rain shower, all complimented with exclusive Remède bathroom amenities. Also in the bathroom, a conveniently positioned 14-inch LCD TV.
