Steamboat Springs Ski Chalet for Families - Sun Ridge Lodge

Sun Ridge Lodge is named for its ideal location upon a ridge overlooking the sun's final path as it sets in the Yampa Valley. Its front balcony beckons its guests to sit in one of the Adirondack chairs for the sunset and then retreat around the corner to a sofa on the covered deck with outdoor fireplace.

For those who prefer watching this end of the day ritual from the comfort of the indoors, the Great Room windows stretch practically from the floor to the peaked cathedral ceiling. Or watch from the sitting area on the top floor which also overlooks the Great Room and is perfect for admiring the exposed timber beams and trusses. One can even watch the sunset from the elevator. An old fashioned elevator is the centerpiece of this unique home featuring glass walls for better viewing. It's truly a unique feature of an already beautiful spacious home.

Sun Ridge was built to give its occupants a rugged mountain cabin feel without sacrificing elegance and luxury. Among the many treats is a great surround sound system that will allow music to follow you wherever you go. Just off the Great Room is a professional kitchen complete with a Wolf gas range and Sub Zero refrigerator. Two long, parallel islands allow room for seating and prepping at once. The dining table seats 10 with four more places at the bar.

This home has acres of space for kids and adults to relax in their own space or gather together. Enjoy a game of pool, or the PSIII system (incl video games) in the rec. room. The wet bar allows for pre and post dinner entertaining.

Sun Ridge also has a hot tub with a view of the Steamboat Ski Area. The laundry room also features ski lockers so everyone can keep their gear organized for quick departures on powder day mornings.


ACCCOMMODATION

All bedrooms have a flat panel TV, plush terry robes, slippers, complimentary toiletries, and IPOD compatible clock/radio. Beds have high thread-count sheets and euro comforters.
