The original chalet was built in 1958 by Sir Edward Tomkins, one of the founding fathers of Méribel, on an old goat track which is now Route des Chalets, THE most exclusive address in Méribel. The chalet was completely rebuilt in 2002 by its new owner, Sir Edwards' daughter, who has recreated the original feel, blending the essence of the old by mixing original local artefacts and family heirlooms with luxurious furnishings.
The chalet has many features that make it stand out including a wood panelled games room with large flat-screen tv and bridge table Billiards room, Spa area with sauna, exercise room and walk-in shower, South, East and West facing sun terraces with panoramic views, a very unique Oak barrel Jacuzzi hot tub on heated deck, a large ski room with boot warmer and drying facilities. There is also a spacious, vaulted sitting room with open log fireplace. Chalet Tomkins will truly give you the unltimate mountain getaway.
