The spirit of sharing is another inheritance from the past, linked to the culture of working, part of the historic vocation of places like this. In fact this group of buildings, which looks rather like a small country hamlet in the Tuscan countryside, was a small factory in 1880, later transformed into a group of craft workshops.
In 1999 Claudio Nardi made it his atelier of architectural design, a place where ideas are born and compared, followed by the necessary changes that make them practicable.
These buildings continue to carry forward the same traditions thanks to this new experience as the same architect, in collaboration with Patrizia Massetti, has now transformed them into “a home for guests”. The nine suites are conceived in the style of French studios, blending a metropolitan lifestyle with the welcoming and domestic atmosphere that reflects the personality of Alice Nardi, the hostess and Claudio’s eclectic daughter.
Fusion is the leading theme behind the structure’s conception: pure and contemporary, the warm atmosphere in these distinctive spaces is due to a series of recovered historic elements - modern antiques - 1950’s furniture –, old and new materials – wood and corian -, and examples of sophisticated design – like the kitchens again designed by Claudio Nardi.
