Overview
Covering 81 sq. metres, the 44 Junior Suites are among the most generously proportioned in Mauritius. Designed to blend modernity with practicality, they’re housed in attractive villa buildings with four suites per villa. Like all guest accommodation at Shanti Maurice, the suites are equipped with plasma TVs, DVD players and broadband Internet access.
The ground floor suites have direct access to the beach, as well as an outdoor rain shower, while the suites on the first floor have large balconies overlooking the Indian Ocean. As well as large bedrooms and bathrooms, each Junior Suite has a separate dressing room with an open closet and dressing table.
Bespoke Experience
- With pristine white sand stretching down to the clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, the beach can be viewed from all suites and Villas. Coral reefs circle the sand and clusters of black volcanic rock create pools as the tide goes out.

Location
Set in its turquoise sea, the beautiful Island of Mauritius basks in an all-year-round sub-tropical climate. The coastline is surrounded almost entirely by coral reefs and dramatic mountains rise above the extinct volcanic craters, rivers and waterfalls of the Island’s central plateau.
Formed by eruptions from the depths of the Indian Ocean, Mauritius was discovered by Arab sailors during the 10th century. Dutch settlers arrived in 1598 and the Island eventually fell into French, then British hands, before gaining independence in 1968 and becoming a Republic in 1992. Not surprisingly, Mauritius is a fascinating blend of diverse cultures, each with its own customs and cuisine.
