Explore Nambia by a flying safari - by far the best way to discover Namibia. Covering vast tracts of land whilst having the perfect aerial view of this unforgiving landscape is the most recommended mode of transport for a Namibian Safari.
A little south of Windhoek Namibia’s capital, are the apricot coloured sand dunes, that typify a safari in this harsh country. The wind carved crests of the dunes throw shadows across the red and orange sands that roll in and out of each other, a spectacle that one never forgets. In addition to the majestic dunes are the expanses of rugged gravel plains, the large Fish River Canyon, the Bavarian architecture of Swakopmund, Damaraland with it’s desert-adapted wildlife developed to survive in this harsh environment, and petrified forests and mountains sides of ancient rock engravings to explore.
A low flight along the Skeleton coast, famous for shipwrecks and seal colonies, offers amazing views of the Atlantic coastline to which many ships have fallen foul. Then not forgetting the expansive Etosha National Park with its huge saltpans that shimmer with heat during the day.
