The city is instantly recognizable by its unique architecture of the iconic Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Upon arrival and after formalities you are met by your driver and taken to your hotel which is situated in the prestigious " Rocks" Area with outstanding views of the harbor, bridge and Opera House. You have the rest of the day to relax and perhaps take an initial walk around the area before dinner and a good night's sleep.
Day 4 Sydney by Land and by Sea
Refreshed after a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast you are ready to embark on a full day exploration of Sydney. This unique day is the ultimate way to experience the beauty of Sydney. You will meet your guide in the lobby and begin with a walking tour around the historic Rocks precinct, visiting the first church in Australia and the cottages built by convicts when this was a penal colony. Continuing around Circular Quay, the Opera House and into the magnificent Botanical Gardens you will join your car under the famous Harbour Bridge, where your guide will escort you through the harborside suburbs of Woolloomooloo and Kings Cross as well as the ritzy Double Bay area. Arriving at Watson's Bay on South Head, you enjoy a relaxed lunch accompanied by Australian wines. Following lunch you continue on to Darling Harbour where your yacht awaits for an afternoon cruise on Sydney Harbour. After viewing all the sites, including the skyline, from the water, you return to the dock where your driver is waiting to return you to the hotel. We have left this evening open for you to enjoy Sydney's famous nightlife, much of it in the Rocks area, surrounding your hotel.
Day 5 A Day at Leisure, a Night at the Opera
Today is left open for you to create your own personal Sydney. For the adventurous it might be a climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge or a surfing lesson at Bondi Beach. For the history buff, a visit to the Museum of Sydney the Hyde Park Barracks and the houses of Elizabeth Bay might be in order. If, however, you are a dedicated shopper visiting Darling Harbour, the Queen Victoria Building and in the neighborhood around the hotel might be appropriate followed, perhaps, by a leisurely lunch and a nap. Don't get too relaxed, however, because we have a great evening planned for you. Tonight you will enjoy a performance at the Sydney Opera House, a cultural and architectural masterpiece. You begin the evening with a tour of the principal theater before enjoying a pre-theatre dinner in Guillaume at Bennelong restaurant, the signature restaurant of the Opera House. Following dinner a performance in the famous Opera Theatre, Concert Hall, Drama Theatre or Playhouse will complete your special evening.
Day 6 A Journey to Australia’s “Galapagos”
Today your driver will pick you up for a flight to a magical place, Kangaroo Island. Often described as the Galapagos of Australia, this island, about thirty miles off the coast consists of little penguins and sea lions, wallabies, kangaroos and koalas; flocks of black swans and countless other species of birdlife call Kangaroo Island "home". Local farmers produce wine, cheese and the best ‘Ligurian' honey this side of Italy, whilst the seas serve up fresh lobsters, oysters and prawns. This is your home for the next three nights. Upon arrival you are taken to your brand new eco-resort sitting atop a cliff overlooking Hanson Bay. Such is its commitment to ecology that the owners are turning back 99% of the owned land as part of the conservancy. Once checked in you enjoy the spectacular sea views from your sunken living room or terrace before enjoying a locally-sourced meal with selected wines.
Day 7 A Day of Exploration
Your Lodge has its own naturalists who are available to take you on Coastal Trekking Expeditions, wildlife viewing, star gazing and nocturnal tours. You are free to do as little or as much as you want although we expect the allure of seeing Koalas, Kangaroos and Platypi up close will be irresistible. You return to the Lodge for lunch and, of course, dinner, again with appropriate wines.
Day 8 A Day of Relaxation
This is a day where you might want to relax with a walk through the wetlands, beach fishing and mountain biking. There are other activities available at a nominal charge such as Kayaking, Marine Zodiac adventures, Aerial Tours and Food and Wine Experiences but participation is truly optional. You can just sit on your terrace looking out on the Southern Ocean and enjoying a leisurely lunch.
Day 9 From the Ocean to the Desert

You are flying to Ayers Rock or Uluru as it is called by the Aboriginal People and for whom it has deep spiritual significance. Upon arrival you are met by a representative of Longitude 131°. As a guest of the resort you will take a road less traveled and share experiences with only a few others. During your stay your program has been designed with the aim of sharing an authentic experience by immersing yourself in the mystery and spirituality of this remarkable desert region. You arrive at your luxury tented cabin offering uncluttered vistas of Uluru stretch over two miles and reach close to 1000 feet. As the sun sets you are able to see the transformation of the edifice to a deep red before darkness engulfs the view. Soon the stars in their multitude come out and you enjoy dinner at Table 131° under the stars. While at the resort all meals, beverages and activities are included.
Day 10 Uluru from Dawn to Dusk
While all activities are included, some are recommended by us. First is the Uluru Sunrise walk giving you the opportunity to see the Rock come to life with the morning sun. After a hearty breakfast a desert awakenings tour might be in order followed by a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon you might opt to go to the Uluru Cultural center or just stay around the resort. This evening another spectacular sunset and dinner under the stars.
Day 11 A Bird’s Eye View of Uluru
After watching the Sunrise and enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you will be met by your driver who will take you to a local airport where your private helicopter awaits. You will get magnificent views of Ayers Rock and the Olgas and have the opportunity to search at low level for wild camels as you fly to Lake Amadeus and Kata Tjuta before returning to your resort. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure but the Uluru and Kantju Gorge Sunset trip is highly recommended. Tonight, your last dinner under the desert stars.
Day 12 From the Rock to the Reef and the Rainforest
This morning your driver will pick you up and deliver you to Ayers Rock airport where you board a flight for Cairns, located in North Queensland and gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Upon arrival at Cairns airport you will be met by your private car and driver and transferred to your resort. Picturesque Port Douglas is the hub of the Reef and Rainforest Coast and attracts visitors for its old-fashioned charm, wide tree-lined streets and superb attractions. The Great Barrier Reef is just 10 miles off-shore and there are over 1,000 islands in the Reef and the best are accessible from the mainland. Your resort offers a new dimension in exclusive luxury escapes. Inspired by the pavilion accommodations found in South East Asia and taking advantage of the natural elements, a sanctuary-style accommodation is created.
Day 13 Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef
This morning, suitably fed and lathered in sunscreen you will be picked up by your driver and taken to the Marina at Port Douglas to begin your full day sail to the Great Barrier reef. Your vessel will have no more than ten other guests and will initially take you for a leisurely sail to the Reef while you enjoy an early morning tea. Your skipper will choose the best location for the day but you will likely visit Tongue Reef, Rudder Reef or Chinaman Reef . All snorkeling equipment and instruction are included. At the Reef it is not uncommon to come across turtles, schooling fish, hundreds of varieties of colorful Reef fish, sea cucumbers, starfish and bright orange and soft pink coral. A barbecue lunch will be served on board during your stay at the Reef. In the afternoon you return to Port Douglas where you are met by your car and driver and driven to the resort.
Day 14 Into the Heart of the World’s Oldest Rainforest
Today you will venture north from Cairns to follow the breathtaking Coral Sea coastline en route to majestic Cooya Beach. Here you will join Yaba Yabaju a member of the Kuku Yalenji people, the traditional owners of this land. With your indigenous guide you will walk these primordial habitats and hear the ancient stories and history of the area. You'll have the opportunity to try your spear throwing ability as you join a hunt in the mudflats, mangroves and beach habitats. While still staying in the Rainforest you will be taken to an eco-resort whose restaurant overlooks a peaceful fresh water lagoon and where you will have lunch. Following lunch you cross the Daintree river on a local ferry to arrive at Cape Tribulation Beach where two World Heritage Site regions, the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest converge. You will then travel to Cooper Creek Wilderness hidden in the heart of the 135 million year old Daintree Rainforest. Untouched by mankind, Cooper Creek preserves its reputation as the most diverse and ancient fragment of the Daintree. On your return journey you can reflect on an exclusive day, a day that concludes, fittingly with a special dinner in the Rainforest.
Day 15 Return to USA
