Ancient Rome Tour

  • Discover the most fascinating archaeological sites in Rome during this 2 and a 1/2 hour tour. You will begin your journey at the Arch of Constantine, built in honor of the emperor Constantine, where you will meet with your guide. While wandering around the sights you will discover the history of the city while listening to the stories about life in ancient Rome.
  • The tour will continue in the Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre ever made by the Romans, an imposing structure that can seat up to 50,000 people. This is the place where gladiators fought for their lives and where Romans came to entertain themselves. Upon leaving the Colosseum, the tour will head towards the Roman Forum Once the political and religious center of ancient Rome, the Forum's origins date back to the 7th century BC.
  • You will start to understand the life ancient Romans led by visiting the most important buildings and temples in the Forum: the Temple of Augustus where the funeral of Julius Caesar took place, the Via Sacra, and the Curia, the meeting place of the Roman Senate. To complete this exciting tour, you will visit a nearby enoteca, where you will be able to have a glass of wine while discussing the wonderful sights you have seen.
