Description of Gastronomy Tour in Catalonia with Wine Tasting and Driving Experiences
This area is also known as the Catalan Tuscany, for its beautiful countryside and incredible medieval villages. We suggest to lodging at an exclusive five-star spa hotel, the result of the rehabilitation of a farmhouse, typical Catalonian country house from the 18th century in perfect harmony with modern architecture in an exceptional environment.
At your arrival at Mas de Torrent hotel, member of Relais & Châteaux, you will find the most exclusive hotel in the area.
You will visit a wine cave for a private wine tasting in Vulpellac, a nearest medieval village, where you will discover with an expert, the famous wines of the region.
We suggest to dinner in any of the starred Michelin restaurants there are in the area.
Next exciting day, we have prepared some activities for new experiences lovers, the mountains, the coast and the road. It will gives you the opportunity to see the coast of Girona and beyond from two different views. The activity begins driving a unique car: the Carver One.
It is the only car in the world designed with two back wheels and a single front wheel, with the only exclusive patented system of curve chassis rotation, called DVC (Dynamic Vehicle Control). Due to its length and its innovative design, it can be considered a mixture of car, motorcycle and aircraft. It gives the same sensations that a fighter plane in motion, also very similar to those of a highpower motorcycle, but with the stability of a great sports car. All this is due to the chassis rotation system.
You will have a theoretical-practical breafing and once learned the basic skills you will enjoy driving the CarverOne around the bendy surrounding coastal roads, accompanied by an instructor who will guide you with an additional car.
Afterwards, get carried away by the magic of high altitude and get to know a part of Catalonia, the Pyrenees mountains and Costa Brava coast from the air with a light airplane.
Relax this afternoon at the exclusive spa Mas de Torrent and delight the "dolce far niente ' in is charming ambience.
You will have a special dinner at the main restaurant of Mas de Torrent, one of the best restaurants of the Empordà, where you will enjoy an exclusive tasting menu. Enjoy a different weekend and savor the finest Catalan cuisine.
