  • Begin exploring the city from Old Delhi, the Mughal capital established by Shah Jahan in 1638. Visit the famous Red Fort where we trade our car for bicycle rickshaws through the congested alleys off Chandni Chowk, one of India’s oldest and busiest bazaars. Next visit Raj Ghat, the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India and Shah Jahan’s last architectural triumph and finally visiting the Humayun’s Tomb. Overnight in Delhi. (B)

The fort was successively occupied by Emperors Jahangir and Shah Jahan; the latter died here imprisoned by his son. It is situated between the Aravalli and Vindhya mountain ranges, forested with deciduous trees and dotted with natural and manmade lakes and spectacular ancient ruins.

Day 07: Ranthambore - Jaipur (180Kms /04hrs)
  • Spend some more time early morning at the park and finally leave for Rajasthan’s capital, Jaipur also called the “Pink City”. In Jaipur spend time in the oldest and busiest of markets in the walled city, Johri Bazaar, a true feast for the senses. Aromatic spices fill the air all over, while ox carts, rickshaws, cows, bejeweled women and men with shocking pink turbans jostle through the labyrinthine streets. Overnight in Jaipur. (B)

Perched on a hillside on the outskirts of town, the palace was constructed in the 1590 by Maharaja Man Singh, the commander of Akbar’s army.
