On this 7 night tour, we have packaged together two of the most popular attractions in South Africa - Kruger National Park and "The Mother City"

ITINERARY

Day 1          Arrival in Johannesburg

On your arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (flight not included).

Overnight at the Holiday Inn Express Woodmead on bed and breakfast basis.   

Day 2          Johannesburg to Karongwe Private Game Reserve

After breakfast you will be collected and transferred to O.R. Tambo International Airport for your flight to Hoedspruit Airport (1 hr 30 mins) (not included). Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to Shiduli Private Game Lodge. The lodge is situated in the heart of the game rich Lowveld of the Limpopo Province. Magnificently located in the Big Five Karongwe Private Game Reserve, the lodge is home to a lot of wildlife, over 350 bird species, The Big Five, as well as cheetah & Hippo.

Overnight at Shiduli Game Lodge on half board basis and game drive.  

Day3/4        Shiduli Private Game Lodge

Enjoy two full days at this wonderful game lodge. Spectacular African sunsets can be enjoyed while sipping "sundowners" at a waterhole or enjoying the delight of a short hike to a lookout point high above the savanna for breathtaking views of the Drakensburg Mountains.

2 Overnights at Shiduli Game Lodge on full board basis and 2 game drives daily.

Day 5          Shiduli Game Lodge to Cape Town via Johannesburg

After breakfast you will be collected and transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to Johannesburg (1hr 30 mins) (not included). Upon arrival connect to your flight to Cape Town International Airport (2hr 10 mins) (not included). On your arrival you will be collected and transferred to your city centre hotel. The rest of the day is spent at leisure.

Overnight at the Holiday Inn Express Cape Town on bed and breakfast basis.   

Day 6          Morning Half Day Tour of the City and Table Mountain.

After breakfast we depart (08:30) for an escorted half day tour of the "Mother City", the oldest city in our country and has a cultural heritage spanning more than 300 years. The tour includes a trip up Table Mountain (cable car fee not included). Should the cable car not be in operation an alternative visit to the spectacular Signal Hill will be included. We also visit the Company Gardens, the SA Museum, the Castle of Good Hope, the vibrant and arty flea market at Greenmarket Square and a stop at the V&A Waterfront. We then drive through the picturesque Bo-Kaap before returning to the hotel.

Day 7          Full Day Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

After breakfast we depart (08:30) for an escorted full day awe-inspiring tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. You will view the exclusive suburbs of Sea Point, Clifton & Camps Bay before continuing to Llandudno to the fishing village of Hout Bay. If calm seas prevail, join an optional launch cruise to view the Duiker Island Seals. (not included). We then travel along the spectacular Chapman's Peak Drive to Kommetjie, and enter the Cape Point Nature Reserve to view what is erroneously said to be the meeting place of the two great oceans. Time for lunch is given (not included) before heading to an African Penguin Colony, the naval hamlet of Simon's Town and then continue via Fish Hoek to Muizenberg. In the afternoon we visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and then travel back to the hotel via Rhodes Drive. (The drive vis Chapman's Peak is subject to the road being open. Ou Kaapse Weg will be used as an alternative route when necessary.

Day 8          A fond farewell.....

After breakfast you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your departure flight (not included).
