Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast drive to Amboseli National Park in time for lunch and check in at Ol Tukai Lodge. At 4pm go for an evening game viewing drive in the park in the area of the permanent swamps, which reveal much game, large and small eminently photogenic in these splendid surroundings. A night stop in the park enables a more leisure encounter with the magnificent array of wildlife than is possible on the day of safari. Later at 6:30pm drive back for dinner and overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge on Full Board basis. (Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast).

Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Wake up for a pre-breakfast game drive and return to Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, proceed for another game drive where plains game namely Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and various Antelopes can be seen. You’ll have a lunch and leisure break at the Lodge, then end with an evening game drive, looking out for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen during clear weather from the Observation Hill. Afternoon can be spent at leisure. Optional activities include; Maasai Village visit, Nature Walk or Swimming. Large herds of Elephants and Hippos can be seen bathing in the swamp grounds whose water source is Mount Kilimanjaro. After game drives drive back to Ol Tukai Lodge for dinner and overnight on Full Board basis.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast at 6:15am, go for a short morning game drive as you exit the park and head North to arrive in Nairobi in time for an early lunch at Toona Tree Restaurant. After lunch depart Nairobi and drive north down the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. We take a brief stop at Viewpoint for a few camera shots of this amazing natural phenomenon. The history of this valley dates back to thousands of years during some great earth movements that caused massive shifting of the earth’s foundation rocks. This massive valley stretches from the Middle East down through East Africa to Mozambique in Southern Africa holding along great lakes. (e.g. Victoria, Turkana, Baringo, Bogoria, Nakuru, Naivasha, Elementaita, Magadi, Natron, Tanganyika, etc).

Proceed with safari with a stopover for panoramic views of the Rift Valley and Lake Elementaita arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon.

On arrival proceed for a game drive in this park which lies in the volcano strewn Rift Valley and is one of the chain of 8 Lakes which stretch the length of Kenya from Ethiopia to Tanzania. Lake Nakuru National Park is dubbed ‘the greatest bird spectacle on earth’ due to the millions of Fuchsia-Pink Flamingos that flock to feed on the teeming algae of its alkaline waters. Lake Nakuru is also an Ornithologist’s Paradise. It has a uniquely rewarding game-viewing venue and a sanctuary for both the Black Rhino and the endangered White Rhino. The park offers an incredible 450 different species of birds which are water, fish-eating, terrestrial and migratory birds to include Pelican, Fish Eagle, Secretary Bird, Heron, Egret, Hammerkop and Grebe. It’s known as the Bird Watchers Paradise. Go for an evening game drive and later drive back for dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge on Half Board basis.

Day 5: Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast at 6:30am we depart Lake Nakuru Lodge for a small game drive as we exit the park. We drive through the Great Rift Valley, the dramatic landscape and the plains inhabited by the Maasai pastoralists and across the ‘bread basket’ of Kenya covered with acres of wheat and barley. We take a brief stop at Narok town for refuelling and then climb the western wall entering Hemingway’s country; “Serengeti Plains”. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve adjoins Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and is reached in time for lunch. On arrival proceed to Mara Sopa Lodge for check in and lunch.

At 4pm proceed for an evening game viewing drive in search of Black Manned Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Cheetahs, Buffalos and other plains game. The sighting of Rhino and Leopard cannot be guaranteed and luck is a necessary factor as they are sparsely numbered, very shy and elusive. Return to Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight on Full Board Basis.

Day 6: Full day in Masai Mara
After breakfast at 0700hrs, start tracking game with your guide in this Reserve which borders Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park as only an artificial border separates the two. The Masai Mara is renowned for staging the Great Migration, recently named as the seventh wonder of the modern world. A full day is spent game viewing across (from 0800-1600 hrs) the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. This reserve is the most visited Park in Kenya and the best for game as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows excellent photography and close viewing opportunities. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game, Black Manned Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs. It also has numerous Elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. Antelopes, Wildebeest, Zebras, and Maasai Giraffes can be seen as well as scavengers like Hyenas and Vultures.

You’ll be driven to the Border Mark of Kenya and Tanzania to take a few shots of the Serengeti Plains and then to Mara River as you view game enroute. Enjoy a picnic lunch besides the river as you watch Hippos and with luck Crocodiles on the River banks. Your safari guide will take near the river bank or with an escort of an armed Ranger to take a closer glimpse of the Hippos and Crocodiles basking on the rocks and one of the Wildebeests crossing points. We return to Mara Sopa Lodge at 4pm.

After a short rest, visit a nearby Maasai village to see their nomadic lifestyle. (At an extra fee payable directly to the Maasai villagers – The Maasai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years.) Rest of evening is spent at leisure with dinner and overnight at the Mara Sopa Lodge on Full Board basis.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Flight back home
After breakfast at 7:30am, we depart Masai Mara region having been to Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Your driver will show you where to do your souvenir shopping either on your way to Nairobi or in Nairobi. Lunch will be served at Jacaranda Hotel in Nairobi.

In the afternoon you’ll have a complementary city tour of Nairobi before your driver drops you at the airport. You can choose to have your farewell dinner at Carnivore which is famous for the succulent stew and barbecue dishes of game meat as an excellent compliment to a holiday in Kenya.

NOTE: This tour can be extended to other parks, Mombasa beach, Tanzania, Zanzibar or Uganda on request.
