James Bond Inspired Driving Break

Our James Bond inspired driving break combines the glamor of this most famous secret agent, with a driving tour in the just released Aston Martin V8 Vantage S.

The driving tour is between 2 and 5 days, dependent on the number of missions you decide to undertake, and will take you to some of the most iconic 007 shoot locations in and around the Swiss Alps & Italian Lakes.

The mission starts in Zurich where you will receive a full de-brief and drive walkthrough over a glass of vintage Bollinger.  The following morning your Aston Martin will be delivered - now pay attention 007 - and after a walkthrough of the car and GPS you will be on your way.....

Day 1 - Arrive Zurich / Mission De-Brief

Check into the Dolder Hotel. Over a Champagne Cocktail on the hotels panorama terrace bar, you will be briefed on your upcoming mission and be given a full walkthrough of your drives.  After head down into Zurich and explore the bars, cafes and lakeside promenade.

Overnight Accommodation: Dolder Grand in a double superior room, champagne and cocktails on arrival

Day 2 - Head through the Alps / Visit Ice Station Piz Gloria

Aston Martin delivered directly to the Dolder - here you will recieve a full car walkthrough including controls (no ejector seat unfortunately) and GPS which has each of the missions (driving routes and suggested stop points) pre programmed.

Mission 1 - head south over two of the most stunning passes in the Alps, then directly to the Schilthorn ice station Piz Gloria. At 2790M this was the secret location of villain Bloefeld in On Her Majesties Secret Service and offers stunning views across the Alps and to the directly adjacent peaks of the Eiger and Jungfrau masiffs.  Later check into your hotel in the Swiss Alps, and enjoy a well earned Vodka Martini cocktail on their beautiful terrace - shaken not stirred, naturally...

Day 3 - Drive the Big Passes of the Central Swiss Alps

Mission 2 - drive a stunning loop of the "big 3" passes of the central Swiss Alps, including a run over the Furka Pass, iconic shoot location for James Bond's DB5 / Mustang car chase in the movie Goldfinger.  Take lunch in the Alps, before completing your mission with a visit to the Rhone Glacier, 8KM long and the source of the Rhone.

Overnight Accommodation: Second evening at the Cambrian Design Hotel, Adelboden

Day 4 - South through the Alps to the Italian Lakes / visit the Verzasca Dam

Mission 3 - head south through the Alps to the Italian speaking Swiss Canton of Ticino and the Verzasca Dam - the dam was used for the opening bungee Jump scene in Goldeneye and has an almost sheer drop of more than 200M.  Agents are not obliged to take the plunge on the 007 bungee jump, but if you're entering into the spirit of things.....

Day 5 - Tour of Lake Como / Visit Villa del Balbianello

Mission 4 - time for some recuperation - continue south to Lake Como, one of the most beautiful of the Italian Lakes.  Spend an afternoon cruising the shores of the lake, visit the stunning Villa del Balbianello (used by James in Casino Royal to recuperate from his injuries) before an afternoon relaxing on their pool terrace that extends literally into the lake.

Overnight Accommodation: Second evening at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo Hotel, Lake Como

Day 6 - Mission Completed - Return to Zurich via the Swiss Alps / Lunch in St Moritz

Mission 5 - with all missions completed, start your return journey to Zurich via the jet set Ski Resort of St Moritz - the slopes around St Moritz have been referenced in several bond movies, including For Your Eyes Only. Take lunch in the Alps, before completing your return drive to Zurich via the shores of Lake Lucerne.
