Description of Culinary Tour - A Day in Mamma Agata' s Kitchen
- Mamma Agata's cooking class takes place in her private home situated high on a cliff top, 1,000 feet above sea level. Her gracious home majestically overlooks the Amalfi Coast, with wonderful terraces and a spacious garden full of lemon trees, fruit trees, flowers, vegetables and poultry.
- Mamma Agata has been the chef for many major Hollywood actors and actresses, including Elizabeth Taylor, Humphrey Bogart and Fred Astaire. During the cooking class you will have the opportunity to learn how to create wonderful Mediterranean dishes, from antipasti to dessert; each recipe will be accompanied by Mamma Agata's personal and very entertaining anecdotes. During the preparation, you'll also get to taste all the ingredients used such as sundried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, olive oil and Gennaro's home made wine.
- Mamma Agata's daughter, Chiara, will assist you during the cooking class and at the end of the lesson; she will serve lunch on the beautiful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea where you'll dine on the dishes that you cooked. This is an unforgettable experience in one of the most beautiful spots in the world, and is a must for anyone interested in Italian culture and cuisine.
