Succulent seafood, world-famous wines, vibrant nights and sun-drenched days. ¡Bienvenido a España! Spain is a country of diversity, from the northern green hills resembling the Irish countryside down to the Moorish inspired architecture along the southern coast.

Spain definitely knows how to celebrate the good life, from the Pamplona bulls of San Fermín to the striking parades in Seville’s Holy Week. The architecture varies, with Frank Gehry’s stunning Guggenheim in Bilbao, Antoni Gaudi’s whimsical Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and the Mezquita in Cordoba, a former mosque turned Roman Catholic cathedral.

Regardless of where you decide to visit in Spain, you can be certain that the people will be welcoming and spirited, the activities diverse and the food will be plentiful!

It is a country of festivals, with each city commemorating their history and people with a holiday and fiesta. There’s the Carnaval in February, with the wildest parties in Sitges (Catalonia), Cádiz (Andalucía) and Tenerife (Canary Islands). Valencia celebrates Las Fallas in a week-long celebration in the different neighborhoods with vibrant processions, all-night dancing and reveling in the streets and celebrated statues. The Semana Santa in Seville celebrates the Holy Week with elaborate religious parades. In July, the northern city of Pamplona opens its doors to the world for the infamous San Fermínes, or The Running of the Bulls. And these are just to name a few!
