This sleeping volcanic island is not your ordinary Caribbean isle. You won't find colorful reefs or stretches of sandy beaches here. However, Saba provides an entirely different experience for your next luxury vacation in the Caribbean. Saba is a small, rugged island in the Netherlands' Antilles with dramatic cliffs plunging into the sea and rocky shores leading down to the water like pebbled terraces. Red-roofed villas cascade down green hillsides and enjoy incredible views of the unique seascape and mountain vistas. There's only one road (The Road) connecting the four villages scattered across the island, leaving large portions of Saba to its raw, unspoiled wilderness.
Although there aren't any reefs in this Caribbean island, Saba is considered one of the top five diving destinations in the world. Divers can explore sheer underwater cliffs, diverse seabeds and unique wall diving. Visitors can also hike through the lush hillsides and explore the island's rough terrain.
