Like other global hotspots like Paris and New York, London has been featured so prominently in popular culture (from Renaissance novels to action-packed blockbusters), a stroll through the city will recall déjà vu, it's almost as if you've been here before. And where to begin? Browse the stalls at Camdentown for antiques or splurge on ready-to-wear from Oxford Street. Enjoy a sun-drenched afternoon in the romantic gardens of St. James Park and take a moment for the much-photographed Changing of the Guard. Visit the Houses of Parliament before catching a show in the West End's Theatreland. Revel in the high spirits found in the carnival in Notting Hill or a football match at Wembley. Regardless of what you decide to do, there's no end to the palaces, theaters, shops, museums, landmarks, restaurants, parks and bars in London that will leave you pleasantly surprised.
