Egypt is a living museum and breathing testament to an ancient civilization. However, it’s not all temples and pyramids. Egypt is home to a variety of urban cities like the Mediterranean chic Alexandria or the eastern beach resort Hurghada on the Red Sea. As epicenter of ancient civilization, Egypt has more than a few monuments that have stood the test of time.

Visit the chaotic capital in Cairo with bustling bazaars, camel rides and the Giza Pyramids on the horizon. Founded by Alexander the Great, Alexandria may appear to have more Greek architecture than Egyptian, but this is only a testament to the legends that have walked these streets including Marc Antony, Cleopatra and Julius Caesar.

Favorite must-sees in Egypt include the Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Valley of the Kings at Luxor, temples at Abu Simbel, scuba diving in Sharm el-Sheikh and the historic oasis Siwa in the Western Desert Region.
