Imagine the rhythmic sound of the waves breaking on the beach at the end of your garden. Picture a view - framed by perfect architectural symmetry - of a tranquil swimming pool, which appears to flow over a precipice onto the sands below. Towering coconut palms are reflected in the glassy surface of the pool, a coraline limestone wall is draped in pink and white bougainvillea, and the smell of the sea is carried on the breeze. Further investigation reveals a hidden lawn heralded by a water cascade, a secret large jacuzzi with its own private wooden deck, a river at the end of the garden and, finally, the beach, those relentless waves, and a fabulous vista stretching all the way down to Bali's southernmost tip.
