Lamu Island, a world heritage site, is situated within an archipelago off the coast of Kenya. It is home to hundreds of years of Swahili culture that has been perfectly preserved thanks to the remote and unspoilt location of the area. Comprising of only five beautiful and spacious Nyumbas, (the Swahili name for home), The Red Pepper House is perfectly integrated into its natural surroundings and covered by a Makuti thatched roof. Local artists and builders took part in the construction of the property using techniques passed down from their ancestors.
Having only five Nyumbas ensures that the staff have time to pander and attend to every need of their guests. This attention to detail is what puts The Red Pepper House in a league of its own and makes it stand out as the most exclusive hotel on Lamu Island
